Small Summer Projects

I am somewhat delinquent in posting these little projects around the house, but better Nate than lever.

I finally finished curtains for the schoolroom. The other window is very wide, so I used a set of king-sized sheets for the fabric. Note to self: unhemming large sheets is more tedious than it sounds.

Then, I made this cute little tote for my waterbottle with just a few tweaks to this pattern to make it fit my bottle.

And finally, we framed prints Miss Language bought on her semester in China and got them up. Just in time for her to head back to China.  :-P  I especially love the gold flecks in the red print.

Inside Out Cap :)

Isn't that a fun name? Here is the link and here is the cap I made for a fun friend.  I enjoy knitting as I pray for her healing. This side is technically supposed to be worn inside, but I like it either way.

And this is the inside which is designed to be worn out. That is a little confusing.  :)

New Bookmarks

These are my Mother's Day gift from Miss Language but I include them here due to their lovely and handmade nature. Miss Language went to a bobbin weaving class and these are the fruit of her labor:

Swiffer Sweater

We have moved houses and the person who lived here before us left a Swiffer. I wanted to use it but am too cheap frugal to buy the disposie parts. So, I did a little looking and found instructions to knit the covers.

I did this one, basically you cast on 70 stitches, cotton yarn, size 8 needles, knit four inches, cast off, and sew the ends so they make pockets to go on the Swiffer. Quick, easy, thrifty, and pretty snifty.  :)

Baby Levi

I managed to do my first (very small) gift project in the new house... hooded towels and washcloths for baby Levi. Hope his momma likes them.  :)
